\u00a0Like gold that has to be passed through fire for purification, life has a way of getting us through fire and brimstone in form of circumstances and different challenges. This fire can break us down or simply make us better. Against all odds, there are many who have conquered tough times and emerged victoriously. This is a story of a tough pregnancy journey for one Kambua Mathu \u2013 an artist and tv show host.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A childless marriage<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Like Hannah in the Bible, who was married but without a child, Kambua had to endure six years of waiting and trying to conceive. The community seems to have a set of expectations and standards for marriage and one of them is definitely the fact that a married couple should have children.  For musician Kambua and her hubby Pastor Mathu, this did not happen as soon as many expected leading to 6 years of doing everything they could to bring forth a child.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Years of online bullying for childlessness<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Being a celebrity, Kambua\u2019s life is always on the limelight and in constant scrutiny. Her failure to give birth to a child sooner into marriage was noticed and many questioned her. She was constantly pestered with questions of why she had not given birth yet she was married. Some went to the extent of reminding her on social media that she was getting old and needed to get a child.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Balancing between a career and dealing with pressure from the fan base<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The award-winning artist had to find a way to deal with a job that required great love for the people and also avoiding starting a shootout with those concerned with her childless state. At first, she faced it by secluding herself even from her own friends who already had children. However, instead of allowing this state to crush her and completely break her, Kambua chose again to get involved in the lives of those children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This helped her heal and also find peace with the fact that God is able to give her a child in any way. This would eventually even affect the way she prayed and instead of being focused on her own way of seeing things, she started asking God to do things His own way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Miracle time- Kambua\u2019s pregnancy<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When constant visits to the hospital failed to bear any fruit, the couple decided to visit a fertility expert \u2013Doctor Wanjiru Ndegwa \u2013 who started taking them through the process of considering other options such as in-vitro fertilization.  It was during this period, one day after her popular Rauka Show when she decided to go take a test and to her surprise, she was finally pregnant!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The couple would later in 2019 after 6 years of waiting welcome a baby boy whom they named Nathaniel. Biblically, Nathaniel means God has given and truly God gave them a child!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
