No parent expects to outlive their child and when this happens, the grief and pain of loss are unmatched. When parents lose a child, they essentially lose a part of themselves. Tabitha Karanja knows this all too well. For the first time since Tecra died, she publicly talked about the death of her last-born daughter. She also acknowledged how hard moving on has proven to be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tabitha tweeted, \u201c This week marks 100 days since we laid to rest my last born daughter Tecra. Her death left me brokenhearted without an idea of how to move forward. People say to give it time. But truth is that time changes nothing. What has changed is my eyes have been opened to more truths<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Tabitha Karanja with daughters Tecra and Anerlisa<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Keroche Breweries CEO further went on to acknowledge that she dearly missed her daughter, commemorating some of Tecra\u2019s attributes. She wrote, \u201c29 years ago when Tecra was gifted to me, I was drawn to her insatiable curiosity. Through the years I benefited from her outlook of the world. She became my sounding board in my very private life and my public life as an entrepreneur. I dearly miss her counsel and company.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Tabitha also acknowledged how faith has been an anchor for them during this dark phase, thanking everyone for the prayers offered for her family. She wrote, \u201c Thank you all for prayers that helped ease our pain. For those in a similar place, I pray for grace to live and grieve at the same time.<\/em>\u201ds<\/p>\n\n\n\n While children are a promise for the future; when they die, you have to resolve to keep living and grieving.
