Roles of women in society

Women in society have ensured long term development, great progress and stability of countries. A lot of significant and important roles are shown from their birth to the end of their life. With changing in society women become really forward as compare to ancient times.

Globally women are greatest contributors in so many ways include; caretakers, farmers, entrepreneurs and educators.

Women as farmers:

Globally, about 43% of world’s agricultural labor force is provided by women, other nations record to about 70% of labor force. In Africa 80% of the agricultural production comes from small scale farmers, most of them come from rural areas in which women are the major source of labor.

The entire globe has accepted that agriculture is the key engine of growth and is the one helps in reducing poverty in developing countries. Women, especially mothers play a major role in providing food for the family, this force them to focus in agricultural sector to help their kids. 

Women as educators:

The transition of women in society from illiterate to literate has brought much significance to the entire world. Since education becomes the key, countries get developed and achieve their targets. Research from institutions shows that education is the main factor that can bring much improvement in agricultural production, rising up the status of girls and women and improve their standards of living.

Mother in the family is the one who push children both boys and girls to go to school, most of them are the one preparing their kids in the morning to go school and also they help in homework and revisions. This brings improvements to the family and community.

Women as caretakers:

Women are believed to be the primary caretakers of children in every community in entire world. Women take great part in helping the family despite many challenges they are facing as mothers.

UN Womenwatch Organization research found the following:

Most of women coming from rural areas play a key role in helping their communities and households in providing food and nutrition, income generating and improving livelihoods.  

Women as entrepreneurs:

Many research shows that women engage in business for several reasons than their male counterparts. Women have owned and operated their business for the last ten years, although they are not recognized or given support for hardworking.
